Aaron is 4 months!
I can't believe! Aaron is already 4 months old - where has the time gone? He is such a bundle of joy that makes my heart melt. He is talking and laughing so much now. One of his favorite places to hang out is in the window seat under his hanging toys batting at them. He chews on his hands like they are smothered in the best thing he's ever tasted. The other night we all watched a movie together and at the end of the movie Chad and I were holding the boys dancing and singing our hearts out. Aaron was laughing it up and my heart was so full and happy that I thought my heart my explode from sheer joy! I am amazingly blessed by these precious boys and man in my life. Thank you, Jesus!
Murder Mystery Dinner
For Chad's 33rd birthday this year I sent him and friend Tom Vander Well up to Des Moines for a man spa day. They got massages and hand and foot details. I don't think they minded at all considering they were offered beer when they got there and got to go sit in the cigar room and enjoy a few puffs. For all the hard work Chad has put into our house - he certainly deserved some pampering to his battered hands and much neglected toes :)

The hostess had a lot of fun making Dan blush!
Yowzers! She had a little toy gun attached to her garter belt - thankfully she pulled it out for him!
Tom dressed the perfect part to play Wyatt Burp
Chad was entertaining as always!
After an afternoon of pampering we all donned our cowboy duds and headed to Tassel Ridge Winery for a fun evening participating in a Murder Mystery dinner while the boys played with Auntie Heather and Uncle Seth at our house :)

I particularly dig my big belt buckle.
When we got to Tassel Ridge we tasted some wine and waited for the hosts to come out. When they did it was hilarious! Everyone was given a card with the character they were to play for the evening. I was Sloopy Sales, Chad was Foe Ward Ho, Tom was Wyatt Burp, Wendy was Sarah Bellum, Dan was John Boy and Angela was Maggie May.

It was an awesome night! My face was still hurting the next morning from smiling and laughing so much. The night got even better when the Hawks pulled out a victory in the last second of the game. The room erupted in cheers and high-fives. We all headed back to our house where we watched the last few minutes of the game to view it for ourselves. A perfect ending to a great day for Wicky!

Pumpkin Patchin' It
We made sure to get a family picture taken first thing
Yesterday we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous day and head to the Pumpkin Farm in Grinnell with the boys. We've been going every year since the year before Nathan was born and it gets more interesting each time. It was a great ride over there with Aaron napping and Nathan watching a video. Ahh, time to talk to my hubby!! The night flew by and Aaron and I ended up in the van so he could have some dinner for about 20 minutes while Chad and Nathan played. We always follow the farm up with dinner in town. All in all, it was a good evening and we look forward to next year when Aaron can enjoy it more too.
Yeehaw!!

3 months!
It's amazing how fast Aaron is growing. I'm utterly shocked that he's already 3 months old and I'm back to work. We are finding that it definitely takes longer to get both boys ready to go and to daycare and us to work on time in the mornings.
Aaron loves to hang out on the changing table for some good face to face smile sessions. Nathan was the same way. He's loosing his bobble head and gaining plentiful little fat rolls. He's sleeping thru the night (thank you, Jesus!!) and still taking plenty of naps for Mommy.

My how they grow!
This morning Aaron had his 2 month appointment and got his shots. Boo hiss. He definitely didn't enjoy them but quickly fell asleep once I picked him up. Poor kiddo was beat! So, after looking at his measurments and Nathan's 2 month appointment stats, I'm amazed!
Nathan at birth:
7 lbs 8 oz
20 3/4" long
Aaron at birth:
6 lbs 1 oz
19 1/2" long
Nathan at 2 mo:
12 lbs 10 oz
23 1/2" long
18" head
Aaron at 2 mo:
12 lbs 10 oz
23 1/2"
16 1/4" head
Isn't it wild how different they were at birth - but are the same in height and weight at 2 months?!
