Easter Egg Hunt & Working Hard

Saturday before Easter Sunday we headed up town to go on an Easter egg hunt. I was a little surprised to see that they just throw out candy on the ground and the kids gather up as much as they can. I did notice that you could easily tell which kids had parents helping them out a bit since their baskets were much fuller! Our little man certainly doesn't need that much sugar!

But wasn't so sure he wanted to go alone...but Chad went out and walked with him.

After the egg hunt we headed home and waited for our Lowe's shipment to arrive. They came with 70 sheets of drywall, a ton of lumber, a tub/shower and a miriad of other items we couldn't get home ourselves. We are truly blessed to have such amazing friends that came over to help get all this to our basement (not an easy task!) A HUGE thank you to: Josh Steenhoek, Tom Vander Well, Matt Dunsbergen and his brother-in-law Jonathon (poor guy didn't know what was coming!). Nathan and Brady Steenhoek had a good time watching the guys work.
I missed seeing them get the tub/shower combo down stairs but came back to see all the lower stairs taken out! They had to remove them and drop in down to the basement - crazy! The goal is to have the basement done by the end of July - things are looking pretty good so far. This past Saturday my step brothers Josh and Jeffery and Mark Phillips came and helped Chad work on framing it up. They made great headwind and things are going well. Thanks so much, guys!
