City of Lights - Day 1

The end of April Chad and I took our babymoon and anniversary trip to Paris, France. United was running a great deal and we were able to use points for our flight and hotel stay - Paris, here we come! We were a little nervous going considering how the pregnancy has been going, but decided to go for it anyway. We heard that the health care system in Paris is excellent, so why not?!

We arrived on a Thursday morning and were shocked that we were able to check into our hotel that morning and didn't have to walk around Paris bleary eyed and stinky. We showered and rested up a bit and headed to see some sights. We took in Notre Dame, ate some lunch and headed back to the hotel to finally take a little snooze before our first dinner out in Paris. The meal that evening was utterly fantastic! We really enjoy finding places tucked away where not many tourists go to really get the cultural experience. I had the most amazing starter of asparagus (love it!) and an entree of duck (to die for!) and a delicious dessert. Chad had lamb that was so tender and tasty.

We walked thru an area known as the Latin District that was very quaint.
