Aaron's Surgery

Back in June, AP had his final "strike" with his ear battle. We've already gone thru one set of tubes and are not on our second set. The first set was put in when he was only 8 months old. I still remember waking him up at midnight to get a feeding in so he wouldn't be starving when I woke him up to be at the hospital by 6:30 am. This time thankfully was different. He's older and could hold out a bit longer.
We arrived at 7am and they got him prepped. He was tired and not too terribly excited about the attention. Nothing like a Ronald McDonald gown with balloons on it to get him a little more perky

This time around he was also getting his adnoids taken out so the procedure took a litte longer. He had to stick around for about an hour after the surgery with his IV still in so they could monitor him. He did great with the surgery and the doctor told us he was one infected little boy. Both of his ears were infected and so was his throat so she prescribed an antibiotic for him as well. Once he was back in the recovery room with us he just slept on me and would wake up from time to time to down an entire big glass of apple juice.

We are certainly hoping this is his last set up tubes! He's such a little trooper though and took it all marveously! Many thanks to the family and friends who were praying for our little man!
