(This post is out of order & should be before "Under the Tuscan Sun")
On Monday afternoon, we made our way into Florence, and finally picked up Shay's luggage. Apparently, on international flights they leave bags behind b/c they just can't fit them all on the plane & then they send them later. So, Shay made it 5 days on 2 pair of underwear, 1 pair of pants & 3 newly purchased shirts & minimal toiletries. Neither of us knew that "roughing" it was part of the plan on this trip?
Anyway, Florence was AWESOME! There's the shopping - quality leather at cheaper than American prices (Heather, we thought of you). Then, there's the art - amazing. Michaelangelo's David is incredible, Botticelli's painting's in the Ufizzi Gallery are amazing, and then there's all of the public sculptures, just incredible.
Needless to say, we'd definitely go back to Florence, given the opportunity.
Pictures have been hard to upload. We'll try to get a bunch uploaded on Monday, the 8th of September.
